We always get asked the same questions by businesses wanting to know where to start with their social media. “What are the best practices?” Or “How can I grow my accounts quickly?”

 So… we’ve written a blog and answered our most asked Social Media questions:

Do I need to post every day to see results?

No! It is different for different social media platforms. We’d recommend being consistent, and choose a number of posts you find manageable.

 

The best time to post?

This is different for everyone! Use your insights to find out. You can use insights to find out when your followers are active, or you can use different softwares such as later, sprout social, content cal etc to find your recommended posting times.

 

Should I post on all channels or stick to one?

Whether you should post on all channels or focus your efforts on one is dependent on your business’s size, budget, time and resources. 

For example if you are a start up and have limited time/money to spend on social media, we’d recommend focusing on the channel where the majority of your target audience are. IE If you’re B2B companies, the channel you’re likely to focus on will be Linkedin. 

However, if you’re a large company and want to reach multiple audiences, countries and use channels for their specific purposes, using all channels would only benefit and extend your digital reach.

 

I want more followers, can I buy followers?

We would strongly recommend NOT buying Social Media followers. The purchased followers are likely bots or inactive accounts, so they won’t engage with your posts. This means your posts won’t show up on Explore Pages, or your real audience’s newsfeeds. Your follower count will look higher but your business will not benefit from this. It is better to have a loyal following, with people who are likely to use your service or purchase your product.

 

Where do I start with my social media strategy?

  • Research your competitors 
  • Look at your insights
  • Outline your goals and what you want to achieve with your social media accounts. E.g. do you want to: 
    • Increase followers
    • Gain leads
    • Brand awareness
  • Create a content calendar with the above in mind
  • Create a plan to achieve your SM goalS
